IPBES is seeking experts from all relevant disciplines and backgrounds for the external review of its Methodological Assessment of the Impact and Dependence of Business on Biodiversity and Nature’s Contributions to People (business and biodiversity assessment)

The draft assessment is available for review for a period of 8 weeks, from 24 July to 17 September 2024. This is the only external review of this assessment.

There are multiple ways to engage your community in IPBES. Currently, we are invited to a special, themed version of engagement: IPBES is seeking relevant organizations to conduct workshops to catalyse further work on scenarios and models, including on testing the Nature Futures Framework. 

The facilitation team is currently composed of 12 volunteer members, all from very diverse geographical and professional backgrounds.

The IPBES task force on scenarios and models, with the support of the task force on capacity-building, will host a webinar on the Biodiversity and Ecosystem Services Scenarios-based Model Intercomparison (BES-SIM) exercise.

The webinar will include a presentation on the BES-SIM exercise and its results, followed by a question-and-answer session.

Everyone interested is welcome to attend.

The ONet seminar series is continuing in 2022.

All IPBES stakeholders are warmly invited to complete a survey on the review process of IPBES administration and scientific work during it's first work program. (see the IPBES notification here)

IPBES 9 will take place in Bonn Germany - Sunday, 03 July, 2022 - Saturday, 09 July, 2022.

The Stakeholder Day will take place just before this, on Saturday, 02 July 2022.

The registration for participating in the IPBES 9 Stakeholder Day is already open, and will remain so until 27 May 2022.

IPBES invasive alien species assessment

The external review of the second order draft of the chapters and the first order draft of the summary for policymakers is open from 15 December 2021 to 15 February 2022.

For those wishing to take part in the review of the draft of the nature futures framework and methodological guidance, IPBES will host a stakeholder workshop in multiple languages in three different time-zones to assist you with this.
