Striving for Equitable Research Partnerships with Feminist Ethics
24 October 2025, 16:30-18:00 CET | online
Join GenCen for an insightful panel discussion that explores what it means to build truly equitable and inclusive research partnerships through the lens of feminist ethics.
In this session, GenCen affiliates Maria Claudia Lopez and Amanda Flaim will be joined by their collaborators to share their experiences working across disciplines, institutions, and communities. Together, they will discuss the challenges and opportunities of applying feminist ethics in research practice — reflecting on power dynamics, reciprocity, accountability, and care within partnerships.
Panelists
- Co-Creating Energy Systems in the Amazon: Maria Claudia Lopez and Rafael Lembi - Community Sustainability, Michigan State University
- "Empowering" which women?: Amanda Flaim, Ariya Svetamra, Chloé Damon, Khin Shwe Oo, Stephanie Koning
The conversation will highlight real examples of co-created research processes, lessons learned from working with marginalized groups, and strategies for ensuring that collaborations are respectful, just, and mutually beneficial.
This event is a valuable space for those looking to deepen their understanding of ethical, inclusive research methods.
Whether you’re a student, researcher, or practitioner interested in ethics, decoloniality, or participatory research, this panel offers a thoughtful and practical look at how feminist principles can transform the way we work together.
