This online dialogue invites Indigenous young voices from the fiver continents to share experiences, ideas, and actions for climate solutions grounded in Indigenous knowledge. Building on the success of the past summits — which engaged over two thousand participants from 136 countries and around 290 Indigenous languages — continues to uplift youth leadership during the UN International Decade of Indigenous Languages (2022-2032).

The summit’s legacy includes the Nature Commentary calling for Indigenous youth leadership in climate diplomacy, reinforcing the importance of global partnerships (SDG 17) and urgent climate action (SDG 13).

This summit relates to the IPBES open call for nominations of participants for the Workshop on IPBES methods for working with Indigenous and local knowledge

Hosted by Future Earth with coordination by the Science Diplomacy Center, and co-organized with regional chapters of the International Ntwork for Government Science Advice in Africa and Asia, alongside many global partners.
