The ONet webinar series continues on 27 October, when Dr. Krysztof Zawierucha joins us to speak about "Biodiversity of glacial environments - threats and fate of cold-loving organisms".

The webinar will be held at 15:00 UTC, 11:00 AM ET USA.

Dr. Zawierucha is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Animal Taxonomy and Ecology, at the Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznań, Poland where his research has focused on the biodiversity and biology of Arctic and Antarctic ecosystems, the cryosphere, cryoconite holes and pollutants in glacial ecosystems, as well as the taxonomy, ecology, and biogeography of microorganisms. In over a decade of research with glacial environments, Dr. Zawierucha has witnessed stark glacial melt and its impact on biodiversity.
