Online dialogue meetings for stakeholders on nomination of experts and fellows for the IPBES business and biodiversity assessment

IPBES recently announced two upcoming online dialogue meetings on the nomination of experts and fellows for the business and biodiversity assessment. The meeting for national focal points and other government representatives will be held on 4 October 2022, whereas the meeting for stakeholders will be held on 6 October 2022.

The undertaking of a methodological assessment of the impact and dependence of business on biodiversity and nature's contributions to people was approved at IPBES 9. The aim for the dialogue meetings is to "facilitate and strengthen engagement by Governments and stakeholders in the nomination of experts and fellows for the business and biodiversity assessment." The meeting for stakeholders will be held twice to accomodate users in different time zones: 09:00-11:00 CEST and 16:00-18:00 CEST.
