Course Launch: Advances in Transdisciplinary Research on Global Environmental Change in Latin America and the Caribbean

We invite you to join us in the official launch of the free and self-paced course "Advances in Transdisciplinary Research on Global Environmental Change in Latin America and the Caribbean". In this event you will learn more about the course structure, the development process, the pedagogical approach, and the possible uses, especially in Global South contexts.

The Inter-American Institute for Global Change Research in partnership with the University of California Long Beach and the University of Calgary developed this course collaboratively based  on case studies in transdisciplinary knowledge production to address global environmental change in Peru, Brazil, Bolivia, Panama, Jamaica, Mexico, Uruguay, and Colombia.

The launch event will feature presentations by researchers who participated in the development of the course, as well as special guests who will share their experiences in transdisciplinary research and reflect on the potential of this tool for training in the region.

Speakers

 The four modules of the course are:

1) Fundamental concepts of transdisciplinary research;

2) Lessons from Latin America and the Caribbean;

3) Capacity building for successful collaborations in transdisciplinary research;

4) Design and management of projects for equitable and ethical TD.
