Symposium: Entangled Worlds: Exploring the Future of Multispecies Research

Join us at University College London (UCL) for a free three-hour symposium dedicated to multispecies research - a growing area of social inquiry that explores how humans live with, impact, and are shaped by other species. This event brings together researchers, students, and practitioners interested in innovative and interdisciplinary ways of understanding human–non human relationships.
The agenda includes:

A presentation exploring the psychology, ecology, and the emotional dimensions of environmental crises.

A panel discussion featuring researchers from across England’s social sciences who bring diverse perspectives on the ethics, challenges, and promises of studying nonhumans.

Conversations on how methods in anthropology, sociology, geography, and beyond are transforming the way we think about our place in multispecies worlds.

Reflections on how multispecies research can support responses to today’s pressing ecological and social challenges.
The IPBES Values Assessment emphasize the crucial role of working holistically, incorporating diverse knowledge and values systems, incorporating methodological discussions
