22 May 2025, 12:30 CET, 16:00 IST | in person & online

In the context of the triple planetary crisis, it is crucial to understand the gaps and bridges between different elements and topics. The IPBES Nexus Assessment stress the intricate connections between biodiversity, water, food, health, and climate change.

The M.S. Swaminathan Research Foundation invites us to join the MSSRF Centenary Lecture Series in exploring how scientific innovation can face contemporary challenges and to discuss the IPBES Nexus Assessment and the implications for food production in South Asia. The main goal is to present crucial findings on addressing the interconnected challenges of biodiversity loss, water and food insecurity, health threats, and climate change through integrated solutions rather than siloed approaches.

Keynote Speaker

Dr. Pamela McElwee - Professor in the Department of Human Ecology at the School of Environmental and Biological Sciences at Rutgers University. Dr. McElwee serve as co-chair of the IPBES Nexus Assessment

Join us both online or in-person at the M.S. Swaminathan Research Foundation (Sambasivam Auditorium, 3rd Cross Street Taramani Institutional Area, Chennai 600113)
