Crop Trust is an international organization dedicated to safeguarding the genetic diversity of the world’s crops. In the face of climate change, population growth, and environmental challenges, its mission is crucial to ensuring food security for future generations.
In this webinar, you’ll discover how Crop Trust supports global seed banks, including the renowned Svalbard Global Seed Vault, and how its initiatives contribute to resilient agriculture and sustainable food systems. Plant scientists will also learn about opportunities for collaboration in crop conservation and research.
At ONet, we are supporting a new Community of Practice engaging with IPBES on crop diversity. The Global Crop Diversity Trust (Crop Trust) is a non-profit international organization dedicated to conserving crop diversity and making it available for use globally, forever, for the benefit of everyone.
The Crop Trust was established in October 2004 by the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) and Bioversity International on behalf of CGIAR for the purpose of sustainably supporting a global system for the conservation and use of crop diversity through its Crop Diversity Endowment Fund.
