Preparatory process for IPBES 9

Reminder:
IPBES 9 is scheduled to be held from 3 to 9 July 2022 in Bonn, Germany. IPBES 9 will be preceded by regional consultations and a Stakeholder Day on 2 July 2022.

At IPBES 9, the following items will be considered:

• the thematic assessment of the sustainable use of wild species,
• the methodological assessment regarding the diverse conceptualization of multiple values of nature and its benefits, including biodiversity and ecosystem functions and services,
• the scoping report for a methodological assessment of the impact and dependence of business on biodiversity and nature’s contributions to people.

The IPBES Bureau will conduct a preparatory process for IPBES 9, which will include opportunities to review documentation as well as informal consultations. Further details are available here: https://ipbes.net/ipbes9
